Opening Ceremony & Challenge Drop
We kick off with energy. Problem statements revealed. Teams finalized. Mentors introduced. Let the building begin.

First Mentor Check-In
Share your approach. Get early feedback. Course-correct before you're too deep. This is where good ideas become great ones.
2:00 PM
Sprint Session
Deep work time. Build, iterate, break things, fix them. Mentors on standby for critical questions. This is where magic happens.
4:00 PM
Mid-Point Review
Show what you've got. Mentors help you prioritize. Focus on what matters. Cut the fluff. Polish the core.
6:00 PM
Final Push Begins
Time to bring it home. Last mentor session. Prep your demo. Make it work, make it shine, make it memorable.

Submission Deadline
Code freeze. Links submitted. Take a breath. You built something from nothing in 12 hours. That's incredible.

I've never built anything before. Can I really do this?

Absolutely! Some of the best projects come from beginners with fresh perspectives. Our mentors are specifically here to help first-timers. You'll get guidance on tools, frameworks, and how to actually ship something. The only requirement is genuine curiosity and willingness to learn fast.
Do I need a team or can I go solo?

Both work perfectly! Solo participants get full creative control and learn everything hands-on. Teams (up to 4 people) can build bigger, combine different skills, and move faster. Don't have a team? We'll help you find collaborators with complementary skills before the event.
What tech stack should I use?

Use whatever gets you to a working product fastest — React, Python, no-code tools, whatever you're comfortable with. We care about the solution and your learning journey, not the specific technology. Our mentors know a wide range of stacks and can guide you regardless of your choice.
Is there really no participation fee?

Zero rupees. Completely free. Start The Up believes in accessibility over gatekeeping. Our sponsors and community supporters make this possible because they want to see more students building and innovating. Your only investment is 12 hours of your Saturday and your passion to create.
What do I need to participate?

Just a laptop, decent internet connection, and hunger to build. Install your preferred development tools beforehand and have your environment ready. Bring your energy and most importantly, bring an open mind and willingness to push through challenges. That's all you need!
What about prizes and awards?

Exciting prizes and awards will be announced very soon! Keep an eye on your email and our social channels. All participants will receive certificates of participation, and winning teams will get special recognition along with prizes. But remember — the real prize is the project you build and the skills you gain!
